A Heart of Worship

Worship at First Arnold is more than music, more than a gathering, more than brief moments together in a service. Worship at First Arnold is a lifestyle that is lived out in spirit and truth with every opportunity presented.

Worship is offering all that I know of me to all that I know of Him. It reveals the inner heart and the recognized value that we place upon God in our lives. Worship is more than just something we do. It is an attitude that we carry with us day by day, an attitude of genuine praise to God. It is fueled by corporate worship, the times we gather together.

Choir

This team of vocalists consists of high school age and up from all walks of life and levels of experience. They come together for a common purpose of worshipping our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ through music. The Worship Choir leads every Sunday morning at 8:00 and 9:30am. The Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm in the Worship Suite.

Orchestra

This team includes musician’s high school age and up who have a desire to use the skills and talents that God has given them to worship and praise Him. These individuals lead in our 8:00 and 9:30am services and come from all walks of life and are bound by a common purpose to proclaim the good news of Jesus through music. The Orchestra rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm in the Auditorium.

Worship Band

The Worship Band is made up of vocalists and instrumentalists with strong musical backgrounds who have a heart for leading people in worship through the playing, singing and reading of God's Word. If you have experience in vocal harmonies, guitar, drums or piano, please reach out to Scott Cornish for more information.

Kids Worship

It's our mission to raise up the next generation of worshippers and worship leaders. That's why our Kids Worship Choir, grades Kindergarten through 5th grade, meets on Sunday mornings during their small group time at 9:30am and 11:00am. We want kids to grow in their knowledge of the Christian faith, and teaching them great worship songs is one of the best ways to do that. Handbell Ensemble

This worship team serves our Lord as they “ring” for Jesus. The Handbell Ensemble plays special music throughout the year in our Worship services as well as in residential care facilities and other special events. The Handbell Ensemble rehearses on Monday evenings from 6:30pm in the Family Life Center. Contact Coordinator Helen Robinson for more information.

Jobs

The Worship Ministry of First Baptist Church Arnold is seeking a musically trained administrative assistant. In addition to administrative work (planning center, pro presenter, etc.), the position will include a leadership role in our 11am service as a female vocalist. Collaborating with worship associates in song writing is also desired.
