We are the light of the world sent out by Jesus to share with others the life-changing news of His life, death, and resurrection. As we live everyday of our lives on this mission, people will be drawn to Jesus through our words and actions and glorify God. None of us can do it by ourselves, but we all must do something to fulfill the Great Commission. God has gifted each one of His people with unique gifts and abilities for the purpose of using to serve others for His glory. This fall on Sunday, September 29th, we are excited to “Serve Our City” for the good of our community and the sake of the Gospel. After our services are finished that morning, everyone will be invited to join us for lunch in the banquet center. There, we will have a time of training and fellowship before being dismissed to go out and serve in our community. This will be a great day for us as a church to live out the command of Jesus in John 21:10, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” We are the sent people of God to be His hands and feet to our neighbors and the nations. Please begin praying now for those who will serve with us and for the lives that will be impacted by the Gospel through this day. Pray about how you might serve alongside us on one of our many ministry teams. Most of all, pray that through our serving, God would be glorified and people would begin following Jesus as we display and boldly share what He has done for us.
