Cancer Support

A Bible study fellowship group with joyous encouragement for those affected by cancer.  It's not about cancer its about Christ.

All survivors on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month
Breast Cancer Survivors only on the 1st Wednesday of the month.

Look around you. Do you know any family who hasn't been touched by cancer? Today almost everyone knows someone with cancer. Often, though, people don't know what to say to someone with cancer, what will be helpful, what a person with cancer is really going through. They don't understand what cancer is, the causes, the mental, emotional, physical, or spiritual battles a person that has been diagnosed undergoes.

Training is available through Our Journey of Hope, the spiritual outreach program of Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Participants will learn how to effectively provide practical support to cancer patients and their families, including, but not limited to:
  • The importance of faith to health and of reaching out to cancer patients and their families
  • What cancer is and isn't
  • Spiritual preparation and dos and don'ts of hospital visitation
  • Special needs of cancer patients and creative ways to minister
  • Prevention information
  • Practical ministry and communication exercises
Open to anyone and free of charge.
