The purpose of the Food Service Ministry at FBCA is to support all ministry areas within the church so that Christ will be glorified, so that all may come to a deeper relationship with Him and that we may have a sweet “fellowship among the brethren”. We do this by fulfilling the food request needs and serving alongside Bible Fellowship Classes, Department Fellowships and Ministry Leaders.
Listed below are the areas of service under the direction of Cindy Hunter, Food Service Coordinator.
Wednesday Evening Fellowship Dinners
 |
This is a great time to come and enjoy a “ home cooked meal” with the fellowship of brothers and sisters in Christ before the evening services and activities begin. Dinners are served September through May on Wednesday from 4:45pm to 6:00pm. The cost for this complete meal is minimal and we offer family rates. The meal includes an entrée, 2 sides, a salad, bread or roll, dessert and a refillable beverage. An adult plate is $4.00. A child’s plate is $3.00 and children under 3 are free. The maximum family (1 household) rate is $15.00.
To make reservations, call Cindy Hunter at 636-296-7729 x 140 (Deadline is 1:00 pm on Mondays.)

Sunday Morning Continental Breakfast
 |
This is a service we provide to our Adult Bible Fellowship Classes on Sunday morning. We realize in this fast paced world that we can usually get the children up and fed for church on time but we don’t always take or have the time to grab a bite for ourselves. This Continental Breakfast of bagels, mini donuts, juice and coffee is served to our Adult classes in the “Breakfast Nook” of the Davidson Family Life Center every Sunday morning. Children are provided with a snack on the second Sunday of each month in their classes.
|
Sunday Evening Church-wide Fellowships
 |
Our Sunday evening fellowships are scattered through-out the summer. Immediately following the evening service, we gather together either in the banquet center or on the parking lot for food (Corn, BBQ or watermelon) fun and fellowship. The dates for fellowships are listed in the weekly Worship Guide or in the “Vision” mail-out. This is a wonderful time to mingle with people of all ages. No reservation required, just come and enjoy the faith-filled evening.
|
New Member Luncheons
| |
As a new member, you are invited to be our guest at a Sunday afternoon luncheon.. We want to have the opportunity to meet with you in a small group setting and introduce you to our pastors and ministry leaders. We host these luncheons quarterly and as a new member you will be mailed an invitation with the date and time. We look forward to meeting with you and serving your needs as you grow in Christ here at FBCA.
|
Funeral Dinners
| |
The Food Service Ministry wants to support our church members during their time of bereavement. If a church member loses a spouse, parent or child to death and needs the service of a funeral luncheon for the family, we want to minister to you in that way.
Please contact Kathy Lawrence, Pastor Kenny’s secretary in the office (x 108).
The church office must be made aware of the needs of the family. The office staff will make arrangements with the proper departments.
|
Vacation Bible School
 |
This is a church-wide outreach to the children of our community (and their families).
One week every summer it is our focus to lead these precious little ones to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Along with feeding them spiritually, we prepare fun snacks or snack meals each night for them physically. It is a wonderful time for seeing His church work together for one common purpose to glorify Jesus and to bring others to Him.
|
Senior Adult Luncheons
| |
We not only love our children at FBCA, we love our Senior Adults!. These fine people are the pillars in our church family and we want to bless and serve them. Under the direction of Brother Menk Ferguson, we prepare and serve a luncheon quarterly to these loving members and their guest. This has become a wonderful out-reach to our Seniors. The luncheons are served around Valentine’s Day, Easter, The Fourth of July and Thanksgiving.
|
Special Events
Through out the course of the year the Food Service Ministry will prepare and serve meals for church-wide special events such as the “Pastors Conference” and the “Missions Conference”. These are exciting gatherings as we come together to pray, fellowship, learn to evangelize and build up the body of Christ.
Our Prayer
It is our prayer in Food Service that as we serve and minister to the needs of our church family and community that you will be blessed beyond measure. As we endeavor to take care of some of the physical needs of people, we pray most of all, that spiritually you will be “filled-up” here at FBCA. If you are looking for a place to serve the Lord by serving His people in Food Service, please contact Cindy Hunter at 636-296-7729 x140.
