February 10-14 is our Global Impact Celebration (GIC) here at First Baptist Church Arnold. This is our world-wide mission’s conference. Our partnering missionaries from all around the world will be here to share how God continues to move throughout the nations. We, in turn, have the opportunity to encourage, pray for, and show our love to the men and women serving in difficult areas of the world.
This year’s them is PRAY * GIVE * GO. Our theme verse is Matthew 9:37-38 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
We will have a kick-off rally on Wednesday night, February 10th, at 6:30 in the main auditorium. Our preacher will be Dr. John Avant. John has been the pastor of FirstBaptistChurch in West Monroe, LA since April 2007.
John has also had the privilege to author and co-author several books.
John and his wife Donna have three children: Christi, Amy, and Trey.
John has a tremendous passion for evangelism and missions!
On Thursday, many of our Bible Fellowship departments will host our missionaries allowing their specific missionary to share in greater detail stories form the field. On Friday night at 7:00 in the main auditorium, we will all gather again as Pastor Kenny interviews our guests. Immediately following we will go to the DavidsonFamilyLifeCenter for a great time of fun, food, and fellowship. Saturday will prove to be a great day as our Bible Fellowship departments once again do relational events enabling you to better know and understand the heart of your missionaries.
Sunday morning our guest preacher will be Dr. Gary Crawford.
Sunday night at 6:30 we will continue this mission’s conference with guest preacher and missionary, Rick Hegger. As an Acts 1:8 Pastor, Rick began leading the churches God positioned him in to pursue mission trips to various regions of North America and into the World. As pastor of Calvary of Neosho, Missouri, the Lord led his steps into partnerships with our IMB Missionaries and engaging a yet unengaged people of West Africa. God soon turned the call on Rick’s life to “Call-Out the Called”. He has been privileged to do this through the local church, serving as Mission Awareness Director for the Illinois Baptist State Association and now as Partnership Missions Specialist for the Missouri Baptist Convention. Rick has pastored in Missouri, Arkansas, and Illinois. Rick has always pastored with a passion to lead the church in missions. We are so thankful that Rick does not just talk about missions, but he DOES missions!
Rick married the love of his life Sandee and they have two adult children, Joshua and Kayla.
This will be a life-changing night. During each service we will have tremendous worship in song with choir anthems, great hymns, contemporary music, and appearances from our Children’s choirs.
Please pray that God will bring revival!
This entire Missions Conference is an event for the whole family.
Keep Praying! See you there!
